Apple Mash

The Old Saying ‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away’ is as true as ever. I introduced apple in Sonu’s diet when he was running six (almost @ 5.5) . Started with small portion and gradually into one medium sized apple a day. Since apples cannot be easily digested , it is always recommended that you cook the apple and serve.

Apples supply natural sugar which gives you a quick burst of energy, apples are a good source of potassium, fiber and vitamins A and C. They also contain small amounts of iron, calcium and phosphorus.

  • 1 Apple
  • Smallllll portion of milk

Wash, Peel and cut apple into small pieces

Sprinkle little water and pressure cook for 3 whistles ( you could just boil this over stove,  I prefer cooker because   a) it will be well done  b) I can cook everything (rice, boiled veggies, apple) in one go (refer to the pictures below) )

Once cooked, Blend/puree it with little milk and serve
