Raw Banana and Potato Kappa/Podi/Fry

This again is prepared to replace those fancy potato chips, which sonu asks for ‘mamma ……. One chips plz’!

Tip:

 Banana: The medicinal use of bananas are uncountable, some key uses are :

 i. The high potassium content in banana help strengthen one’s ability to remember things ( improves memory)

ii. Rich in fiber making it a useful laxative and good for easing constipation

iii. It is very good for pregnant women, as it is known to lower high temperature during pregnancy

Potatoes: Again a very rich source of fiber

Ingredients:

  • 1 each of wild banana + potato
  • tbspn of sooji rava
  • ½ tbspn of rice flour
  • 1 tspn of jeera /cumin powder
  • 1 tspn of coriander powder
  • 1 tspn of red chilly powder
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • A pinch of hing
  • Salt to taste

Method:

Wash and peel off the banana & potato skin.Cut into thin slices and put the pieces immediately in a bowl of cold water ( this is to preserve the freshness and making sure that they don’t turn brown)

Mix rest of the ingredients together in a bowl ( this has to be dry , do not add any water)

Now coat the bananas and potatoes with this mixture and tava fry/shallow fry on a LOW flame ( high/medium flame will only burn them , leaving them uncooked). Sprinkle little water on top occasionally.And keep it covered while cooking
