Grapes Smoothie

It was fun to make this recipe. We all had a good laugh because of my hubby , who kept whisking fresh cream for so long that it turned into butter ! Had to redo the whole thing again. I made two desserts out of this. Smoothie for sonu and soufflé for guddu n me :-) .Howz’dat ! Ek teer do nishane (One arrow, two targets).

Tip:

Grapes are rich source of micronutrient minerals like copper, iron and manganese and has one of the powerful anti-oxidant, which has been found to play a protective role against cancers of colon and prostate, coronary heart disease (CHD), degenerative nerve disease, Alzheimer’s disease and viral/ fungal infections. They are an also good source of vitamin-C, vitamin A, vitamin K, carotenes, B-complex vitamins such as pyridoxine, riboflavin, and thiamin.

Ingredients:

  • A bunch of seedless grapes (10-12) [Note: you could also try with green/black grapes]
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • 1 cup milk maid [sweetened condensed milk]
  • 2-3 tspn of gelatin [required, if you are making soufflé]

Method:

Wash the grapes thoroughly in salt water. Grind/blend it in a mixer [you could either strain out the peel or keep as is]. Whisk all three ingredients together using a hand blender just for a min

Imp Note: DO NOT Keep whisking for long, or  the fresh cream will then  turn out to butter :-)

Grapes Soufflé:

  Double boil 2-3 tspn of gelatin and add to the above mixture and refrigerate for an hour
