Kesari bhath

  ‘Kesari bath’ one of the most common sweet dish available in all most all resturants/Darshini’s. ‘Upittu-Kesari bath’/’khara bath – kesari bath’ was kind of a classic combination that was usually served for the first ‘bride to be and groom to be ‘ meeting sessions :-) ! Things are more modernized now,the girl and boy decide to do a mall-meet first and if things work well, then happens the family meet ups.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sooji rava
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tspn cardamom powder/ elaichi powder
  • 3-4 cashwes
  • 6-8 raisins

Method:

In a thick bottom pan, heat ghee and roast sooji rava until golden brown and keep aside. [Do it in low flame]

 

Add  little ghee and roast cashews and raisins. Keep aside

In the same pan, add 2 cups of milk and bring it to boil. Lower the flame and add sooji rava slowly – stirring continuously, until it forms a solid mass.At this point add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well 

Finally add cashews and raisins
