Palak Chapati

Popeye the Sailor Man ! Thanks to ‘The Popeye Show’ , helped boost my spinach chapathi sales ! It is not chinnus favorite though, but just gulps it down to get energy like Popeye.

Tip:

Spinach has a high nutritional value and is extremely rich in antioxidants; it is a rich source of iron and vitamin A.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup palak leaves
  • 1/2 cup curd or luke warm water
  • 1 cup wheat flour/Atta
  • salt and sugar to taste
  • oil for frying

Method:

Clean and wash the leaves thoroughly. Keep aside. In a pan add little oil and shallow fry the leaves until it is semi cooked

Add this to a bowl and mix with curd+ wheat flour + salt +sugar

Knead to make a soft dough and then make medium size balls

Roll it to make small chapatis ( use tetra pack cover to avoid sticking)

Fry on both sides and serve hot
