One more from the kodava kitchen ! Best served with chicken curry. Learnt it from my kodava friend ( thanks priya muthamma). You will need small plates(with reasonable depth) with raised rims that doesn’t restrict the flow of steam.
- 2 cups Akki thari / rice rava
- 1 cup milk or water ( is at its best with milk , i used water because my hubby doesn’t like the milky version of paputtu)
- 1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
- 2 tspn of ghee
- salt & sugar to taste
Divide equally between plates (make sure you have poured enough thari in each plate because paputtu is best in thick slices) and steam for 25-30 minutes or until done (steam without the weight on)
