Prawn Fry


   This again is the kids version of prawn fry ( not as yummy as we konkani’s prepare). Will update the blog soon with the real Konkani style prawn fry.


  • 2 pieces of prawn ( mom doesn’t let me give chinnu more than two pieces of this, as prawn belongs to category of food that produces bodily heat)

For 2 pieces of prawn (increase/decrease the quantity depending on the size of prawn) :

  • 1/4 tspn of ginger paste
  • 1/4 tspn of garlic paste
  • 1/4 tspn of chilly powder
  • 1/2 tspn of lemon juice
  • pinch of pepper powder
  • pinch of turmeric powder
  • salt to taste


Clean and wash the prawn thoroughly and marinade with salt + turmeric for about 15 mins, wash again and keep aside Note : De-vening the prawn is a MUST ! Especially if you are serving it to your kid. Because it is actually the digestive tract and certainly may contain bacterial cultures. so why take chance?                               Mix all of the above ingredients to make a thick paste.Apply/coat this on all sides of prawn

Heat the tava , add 1/2 tspn of coconut oil and fry the prawn on both the sides until done
