Rice and Boiled Vegetables

Do it in one shot ! When it comes to cooking , i want to finish it asap and get out of kitchen because i will have 10 other things lined up. Usually chinnus mid day snack (apple mash) and his lunch will be cooked together in the same cooker. My mom gave me this small round steel tins which can be placed/arranged easily in cooker. I use one tin to place rice, another one for dal and veggies and one more for apple.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup raw rice
  • 1/4 cup moong dal
  • Any veggies of your kids choice

Method:                                                                                                                                                                           

Wash rice, vegetables and dal thoroughly .Use small round shaped tins, place rice in one tin and place dal and veggies in 2nd tin.(Refer to the pictures)

                          Pressure cook for three whistles. Remove from cooker                                Add pinch of salt and pepper and serve
