Sabasge Vada

Sabasge vada can either be a side dish @ lunch or a evening snack. Dill leaves /Sabsige soppu  are very flavorful, wispy and fernlike and have a soft, sweet taste. It has very good digestive properties and it can help cure Diarrhea/Dysentery.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sabasge(dill) leaves
  • 2 cups channa dal (kadle bele)
  • 1/4 cup dry coconut
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 inch Ginger piece
  • 1 medium size onion
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • salt and sugar as per taste

Method:                                                                                                                                                                        

Soak kadle bele (channa dal)  for about an hour. Drain out the water,grind it coarsely along with cinnamon stick using very little water (This paste has to be very thick)                                    Cut rest of the ingredients into very tiny pieces, and mix everything with salt and sugar                             Make small balls of the mixture /press gently to flatten it and then deep frySV1 SV2
