Sweet corn paratha

Mamma Sheetttttt cornnnnn ! Chinnu likes to eat sweet corn as a whole, he doesn’t like it when i remove the corn kernels for him. He eats it like a rat, half n half and most of them gets wasted. So tried  this recipe, however a RAT remains a RAT ! Hope things get better as he grows up.

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup sweet corn
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1 tspn of ginger paste
  • 1 slit green chilly
  • a small bunch of coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cup of spring onion (optional)
  • a pinch of turmeric
  • 1 cube of cheese grated (optional)
  • salt to taste

Method:

  •  Microwave sweet corn until half done. Now coarsely grind sweet corn + green chillycoarsely grind sweet corn + green chilly

  • Mix this along with rest of the ingredients to make soft doughMix ingredients to make soft dough

Sweet corn paratha dough

  • Make medium size balls and roll them out. Toss the dough in dry flour while rolling, this will prevent it from getting sticky when rolling

Or if your dough is real soft/thin , follow the steps below to make a neat paratha.

  • Use a thick food grade sheet  , I use tetra pack sheet
  • Cut into round shape
  • wash , wipe and coat it with a little oil
  • now, take a small portion of dough and pat it on the sheet
  • Flip it on hot tava
  • cook on both the sides

Use tetra pack to avoid sticking

Flip paratha on tava

 

Fry on both sides

  • Once you have cooked on both sides, sprinkle cheese over it and serve
