Vegetable – Dal Fry

 

This is the 2nd version of dal fry. Just add boiled vegetables to the dal fry and it is ready. Click here for dal-fry recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup moong dal
  • 4-5 pieces of carrot
  • 4-5 pieces of beans

To temper:

  • 1/4 tspn of mustard seeds
  • 4-5 curry leaves
  • 1 slit green chilly
  • 1/4 tspn of jeera powder
  • 1/4 tspn of coriander powder
  • 1/4 tspn of pepper powder
  • a pinch of turmeric

Method:

 In a cooker add dal + vegetables + turmeric and pressure cook for 2 whistles.Allow it to cool. ( use one cup of water ) and transfer it to a vessel

Temper :  Take a pan , heat ghee , add mustard seeds and allow it to sputter. Add curry leaves + green chilly + coriander powder + jeera  powder + pepper powder and sauté for 1/2 min

Stir well. Garnish with coriander leaves
