Yam is a very rich source of starch, vitamins and minerals.
- 4-5 pieces of Yam
- 2 tbspn of sooji rava
- ½ tbspn of rice flour
- 1 tspn of jeera /cumin powder
- 1 tspn of coriander powder
- 1 tspn of red chilly powder
- A pinch of turmeric
- A pinch of hing ( asafoetida)
- Salt to taste
Mix rest of the ingredients together in a bowl ( this has to be dry , do not add any water)
Now coat the yam with this mixture and tava fry/shallow fry on a LOW flame ( high/medium flame will only burn them , leaving them uncooked). Sprinkle little water on top occasionally .And keep it covered while cooking
